Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026 · Last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Who we are

Seven Point Lead (“Seven Point Lead,” “we,” “us”) is a coaching and team-management tool that helps volunteer youth-sports coaches run practices, playbooks, schedules, and team communication. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the rights of parents and guardians. Seven Point Lead is operated by Roc City Mining Corp (an S corporation), 5997 Onyx Drive, Farmington, NY 14425, and can be reached at hello@sevenpointlead.com or 585-770-0996.

2. Children’s privacy — our approach (COPPA)

Seven Point Lead is designed to be used by adults — coaches, team staff, and parents — to run a youth team. We collect a limited amount of information about child athletes so that coaches can operate the team. Importantly:

  • Children do not create accounts and do not log in. “Player Mode” is launched by a parent on the parent’s own device.
  • Children are never messaged directly in the app; there is no one-on-one adult-to-minor communication channel.
  • We collect a child’s information only in connection with their team and only what is needed to run it.
  • We do not use children’s information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We rely on the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian (see section 5). A parent or guardian may review, correct, or delete their child’s information, and may refuse further collection, by contacting us at hello@sevenpointlead.com or by removing the child from the team.

3. Information we collect

  • From adults (coaches, staff, parents): name, email, phone number, role, and team affiliation.
  • About child athletes (entered by a coach or parent): name, jersey number, position, date of birth (if provided), guardian contact details, coach evaluations, attendance, and equipment.
  • Automatically: basic technical and usage logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not knowingly collect more information about a child than is needed to run the team.

4. How we use information

We use information to operate the team (rosters, schedules, practice plans, and communication), to support player safety (for example, the contact-ramp and heat/hydration guidance), and to secure, maintain, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information and we do not display third-party advertising.

5. Parental consent and choices

When a parent or guardian links a child to their account, we ask them to affirm that they are the child’s parent or legal guardian and to consent to their child’s participation and to our collection and use of the child’s information as described here. A parent or guardian may withdraw consent at any time, request review or deletion of their child’s information, and refuse further collection; doing so may mean the child can no longer use certain team features. Today, this consent is captured as an on-screen affirmation: before a child can be linked, the parent must acknowledge — with a link to this policy — that they are the child’s parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection and use described here. We record each affirmation with a timestamp and the version of this policy in force at the time. This on-screen affirmation is not independently verified against government or financial records; we continue to evaluate stronger methods of obtaining and documenting verifiable parental consent, with legal counsel to meet the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. Communications and SafeSport

In-app messaging takes place between adults (coaches, staff, and parents). Players are never messaged directly. Communications may be reviewed by league officials for safety and compliance, and communication should stay respectful and within normal hours (about 8 a.m.–8 p.m.). This reflects the U.S. Center for SafeSport guidance on communicating with minor athletes.

7. How we share information

  • Service providers (sub-processors) that operate the service under confidentiality obligations: a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase), application hosting (Vercel), transactional email delivery (Resend), web-push notification delivery, AI services used to generate coaching content such as practice plans from team and practice parameters (Anthropic’s Claude), and a weather service (Open-Meteo) that receives only a practice location and time for heat-safety guidance.
  • League and association officials, for safety oversight of team communications.
  • Legal compliance, when required by law.

We do not sell personal information. Official registration, participant records, consent forms, and payments are handled by your league’s sanctioned platform (for example, Sports Connect), not by Seven Point Lead, and background screening is handled by your league’s designated vendor.

8. Data security

The service is hosted on Vercel (application hosting) with information stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase). Connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, access is controlled by role within the app, and access to personal information is limited to authorized team staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we protect information using reasonable safeguards. If a data breach affecting personal information occurs, we will notify affected organizations and, where required, affected individuals and regulators, consistent with applicable federal and state breach-notification laws. A fuller hosting, retention, and security summary is available on our Trust & Security page and to leagues and officials on request.

9. Data retention and deletion

We retain information while a team or account is active. Parents and coaches may request deletion of their (or their child’s) information at hello@sevenpointlead.com, and we delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed to run the team.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and parents and guardians may control their child’s information. To make a request, contact us at hello@sevenpointlead.com.

11. Your U.S. state privacy rights (California and other states)

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and comparable laws in other states. These generally include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access a copy, to correct it, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising, as well as the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Seven Point Lead does not sell or share personal information and does not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still exercise your access, correction, and deletion rights at hello@sevenpointlead.com. For a child’s information, a parent or legal guardian may exercise these rights on the child’s behalf (see sections 2 and 5). We verify requests reasonably and respond within the timeframes the applicable law requires. Where our handling of your organization’s data is governed by a written agreement (for example, a data processing agreement with your league), that agreement may direct how such requests are routed and fulfilled.

12. Relationship to your league and Pop Warner

Seven Point Lead is a supplemental coaching tool. It does not replace your league’s official systems: registration, consent forms, and payments remain with the sanctioned platform, and background screening remains with the league’s designated vendor. Seven Point Lead is not a Pop Warner–approved vendor and is offered for review as a coaching aid.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with an updated effective date.
