How to teach it
- 1Crowd all five backers on the line for a jam-packed goal-line front filling every gap.
- 2Get pad level low — lowest man wins at the goal line.
- 3Fill every gap low and hard to stop the ball short of the goal.
Common mistakes to fix
- !Defenders standing up and getting driven off the ball; fix by firing low with knees bent.
- !A gap left unfilled in the crowd; fix by assigning every backer an exact gap.
