  1. 6UIntroduce: Line up right and own your gap — win with alignment, pad level, and pursuit to the ball.
  2. 8UAttack blocks: Add get-off and block destruction so the front controls the line of scrimmage.
  3. 10UAdd coverage: Teach the coverage drops behind the front and read run vs. pass.

Will

Drop to the weak hook/curl.

How to teach it

  • 1Both corners and the free safety split the deep field into thirds; the strong safety plays underneath.
  • 2Backers drop to hook/curl landmarks, read the QB's eyes, and break on the throw.
  • 3Corners keep outside leverage and stay over the top of number one.

Common mistakes to fix

  • !Corners peeking into the backfield and getting beaten deep; fix by keeping eyes on the receiver and pedaling.
  • !Backers dropping and stopping instead of matching threats; fix by continuing to gain depth in the zone.
