Concept: The nickel covers the slot while two safeties split the deep halves against pass-heavy sets.

How to teach it
- 1A backer is swapped for a nickel back to defend the slot on pass-heavy sets.
- 2The nickel covers the slot in the curl-flat while two safeties split the deep halves.
- 3Corners jam and sink to the flats just like standard Cover 2.
Common mistakes to fix
- !Nickel getting beaten deep by the slot's vertical; fix by re-routing then passing him off to the safety.
- !Safeties too shallow and giving up the deep half; fix by staying top-down over their half.
