Deep-coverage prevent alignment guarding against the long pass late in the game.
Concept: Defenders drop to deep zones and keep receivers in front, tackling immediately to preserve the clock.

RushBlitzDrop to coverage
14U — Attack blocks: Add get-off and block destruction so the front controls the line of scrimmage. Teach the coverage drops behind the front and read run vs. pass. Combine front, pressure, and coverage — and disguise it pre-snap.

Every position's job

How to teach it
- 1Everyone drops to deep zones and keeps receivers IN FRONT — no one gets behind you late in the game.
- 2Tackle immediately and in bounds to preserve the clock.
- 3Rush lanes stay disciplined to keep the QB contained.
Common mistakes to fix
- !A defender jumps a short route and gives up the deep ball; fix by teaching top-down, keep-it-in-front discipline.
- !A tackler lets the clock stop; fix by teaching immediate in-bounds tackling.
