Fullback takes the direct snap and hits the off-tackle hole behind the wall of pulling linemen.

Concept: Playside blockers down-block to create the seam while the backside guard pulls and the wingback seals the edge.

How to teach it

  • 1Fullback takes the direct snap — drill the shorter snap and his downhill path.
  • 2Down-blockers step down together to build the wall.
  • 3Backside guard pulls tight and turns up in the hole.

Common mistakes to fix

  • !Wingback lets the end cross his face — fix by teaching him to seal with the inside shoulder.
  • !Fullback drifts wide — fix by aiming him straight at the outside hip of the tackle.
