Zone Read Left
Quarterback reads the backside end to hand off or pull and keep.
Concept: Line blocks inside zone while leaving the read defender unblocked for the quarterback's decision.

How to teach it
- 1Line blocks inside zone; the backside end is right unblocked as the read key.
- 2QB reads the end: hand off if he chases the back, keep if he stays home.
- 3The backside tackle must NOT block the read defender.
Common mistakes to fix
- !Tackle accidentally blocks the read man — teach him to zone inside and ignore the end.
- !QB reads too slowly and the mesh muddies — quicken the give-or-pull decision.
