G Reverse Left

Power flow one way is countered by a wingback reverse coming all the way back to the other edge.

Concept: Backside end and tackle hinge to wall off pursuit while the reversing wing turns the far corner.

14UIntroduce: Nail the snap/exchange, aim the right hole, and finish downhill. Add the pulling guard(s) leading through the hole. Add pre-snap motion to stress the defense's edge. Add the fake/mesh — and a counter off the very same look. Run it fast both directions and check into it by defensive look.

Every position's job

Backside Wingback

Take the reverse all the way back and turn the far corner.

Backside End

Hinge to wall off pursuit as the play reverses.

Backside Tackle

Hinge to wall off backside pursuit.

Playside End

Show power flow, then block for the reverse edge.

Center

Snap the ball, then block back and cut off pursuit.

Backside Guard

Show power flow, then lead around the reverse edge.

How to teach it

  • 1Power flow one way is countered by the wing reversing all the way back.
  • 2Backside end and tackle hinge to wall off pursuit on the reverse.
  • 3Sell the power flow fully before the reverse hits.

Common mistakes to fix

  • !Pursuit chases down the reverse — fix by teaching firm hinge blocks.
  • !Exchange is fumbled — fix by drilling the mesh at game speed.
