Stacked Right Blast
H hits the right B-gap downhill behind the wing's lead block.
Concept: RG and RT down-block the playside and F leads through the B-gap while the backside line scoops; H runs downhill off the mesh.
Grows with your players
Same play, more layers as they age up — teach it once and build on it every season for a consistent program.
- 6UIntroduce: Nail the snap/exchange, aim the right hole, and finish downhill.
- 8UAdd the lead: Add the pulling guard(s) leading through the hole.
- 10UAdd deception: Add the fake/mesh — and a counter off the very same look.
- 12UMaster it: Run it fast both directions and check into it by defensive look.
Every position's job
Take the snap and hand to H downhill, then get depth to carry out the fake.
Hit the B-gap downhill off the mesh — press the double team and read F's lead.
Lead through the B-gap and block the first wrong-colored jersey (usually the linebacker).
Down-block the defender on your inside shoulder.
Down-block with the guard to double the B-gap up to the linebacker.
Scoop the backside A-gap.
Scoop and cut off backside pursuit.
Scoop and wall off the backside.
Down-block the first defender inside to seal the edge.
How to teach it
- 1It's downhill and fast — H presses the line before the crease shows.
- 2The playside double drives to the linebacker.
- 3F fits on the near hip of the blitzer.
Common mistakes to fix
- !H dancing instead of hitting it downhill.
- !Playside double coming off the down lineman too early.
- !F running past the linebacker.
